Battle of the Brains was a community service event held at Estill County High School on April 30, 2012. For the admission price of one (or more) canned food item to be donated to the Estill County Food Bank, the public was invited to attend an exhibition quick recall match. The match was between the 14th Region Champion Estill County High School Academic Team and the Attorneys of the Estill County Bar Association.
The ECHS team, taking the name "Bestill," showed off their skills against the Bar Association Team called "The Justice League." In a hard-fought match, the teens bested the attorneys by a score of 39 to 26.
Members of "The Justice League" included Attorneys Rodney Davis and Jessica Newman, District Judge Tom Jones, and future District Judge William "Bo" Leach.
The proctor for the evening was Estill County Middle School Academic Team coach Leslie Cornett, and the master of ceremonies was Estill Development Alliance Executive Director Joe Crawford.
