It's pretty self-explanatory, but the stories of our people will be told here. Whether they lived here, worked here, or contributed to Estill County in some other way, we can share their stories.

This is also where family connections can be shared and explored. If you choose to link family members on an individual's page, only link to people who are deceased or have given you express permission to be linked.

Please link each new listing to categories that the person falls into. You are welcome to create new categories, but please follow the same structure for all. That way, no pages get lost in the shuffle!

Also, every listing should be matched to at least one surname category. If someone had multiple surnames (in the case of adoptions, multiple marriages, etc.), please link to each one.

At this time, there is no standard structure for the order of information on an individual's page. Please just keep different sources of information organized and separated for ease of identification. Also, CITE YOUR SOURCES! Use quotations for direct citations and include a link to the site you accessed and on what date you accessed that information (because websites change over time).
