Estill County Centennial

From Estill County History

"The events which were a part of Estill County’s 100th anniversary were climaxed on October 1, 1908 at Estill Springs. Three major addresses were given that day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening. The speakers were C.F. Burnam of Richmond, V.P. Smith of Somerset, and C.C. Wallace of Richmond. The Master of Ceremonies was R.W. Smith, whose son R.W. Smith, Jr., would play an active part in the sesquicentennial of 1958. Charles W. Friend gave the welcoming address and T.E. Tipton was Marshall of the Day. Below is a copy of the program distributed on the occasion of the Centennial Celebration of Estill County on October 1, 1908.
