Estill County Public Library

From Estill County History

From late 1976 to mid-2020, the Estill County Public Library operated out of a one story brick building funded by state construction money and local tax dollars, and was specifically built for the library. Estill County Public Library had previously operated from a store front location in the business section of downtown, and from locations in the court house and the old county high school building. Estill County Public Library operated from the 246 Main Street location from late 1976 to June of 2020, when the library relocated to a remodeled and expanded building at the former Kroger location at 184 Broadway Street.
