This platform is called a wiki (the most well known is Wikipedia). It is designed to accept edits from anyone who would like to contribute. It belongs to us all. That said, it takes a little getting used to. Make sure to access the "Help" dropdown box near the top of the Edit page for a "cheat sheet" on how to make the editor do what you want. There is also a link to the left of this page that says "Help about MediaWiki". That leads you to a tutorial page to show you how to do just about anything on this site. To create a new page or category, your first step is to search the term you're looking for in the search bar at the top of this page. If the page doesn't exist, it gives you the option to create it.
