"West Irvine Elementary was named the district runner-up in Saturday's Elementary Governor's Cup Competition. The Quick Recall Team placed first in the competition with several students placing in written assessments: Lee Mills - second mathematics and first, social studies; Andrew Chaney - second science; Kiely Flynn - second language arts; Meggie Wilson - fifth, language arts; Danielle Sullivan - fifth composition; Jalee Horn - second, arts and humanities; future problem solving - fourth Place. Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Dawes and Ms. Baber are very proud of all students who competed. Best of luck to the West Irvine Elementary Academic Team in the upcoming regionals."
