Representative Seventy-third District
William F. Welch: Representative Seventy-third District; Irvine, Estill County. District, Estill and Powell Counties. Republican. Merchant. Born in Jackson County, April 10, 1870, a son of S.E. and Martha Welch. Educated in the public schools. Graduate University Law School of Louisville 1891-2. Practiced law for a term but forced to give up that profession on account of his eyes. Since then has engaged in various commercial enterprises with success. Manager and director of Irvine Telephone Company. Married Miss Bales in 1903.
